Bridgend-based builder scoops top industry award for life changing work

Property Building Maintenance (Wales) Ltd was crowned the winner for its work on a sheltered accommodation project. The works entailed a full refurbishment of an independent site of 17 units owned by Tai Tarian Housing Association to meet Welsh Housing Quality standards, RNIB compliance and Occupational Therapist reports and owner recommendations.

The completed scheme was finished to the very highest of standards and has enabled the residents, who are mainly elderly and less abled, to enjoy much improved quality of life within the new facilities. The team at Property Building Maintenance (Wales) Ltd have stated that enhancing the lives of the residents and knowing they have made a real difference made the project hugely rewarding to them as a company. The judges were particularly impressed by the fact that this project was delivered ahead of schedule, under budget, and carried out whilst the residents remained in the building.

I’ve had extensive repair work done at my property over the last few weeks. After having multiple problems with previous contractors, I was understandably worried about the new contractors in to do work.

The work that has been carried out has been absolutely amazing, the workmen have gone above and beyond to help and keep me informed of the next stages. They have worked so hard to complete the work much quicker than I have expected, given it was a big job, they have tidied after themselves even though I told them not to worry, they have been polite and extremely helpful.

I just wanted to make you aware what an amazing team you have working for your company, please will you pass on my thanks and praise to your team as without them these last few weeks would have been a lot harder.

PBM Wales Ltd. Have worked on void properties for Tai Tarian, formerly NPT Homes, since stock transfer in 2011. They are currently working on the void framework, the work they produce is of an excellent quality with a high standard of workmanship, and properties are completed within the allocated duration given. PBM Wales Ltd fulfil their duties as principal contractor to the satisfaction of Tai Tarian. The communication between ourselves and PBM Wales Ltd.
