Property Building Maintenance (Wales) Ltd have been awarded the FMB 2019 award for major refurbishment works undertaken at Gwyn Court, sheltered accommodation housing, on behalf of client Tai Tarian.
The works entailed a full refurbishment of an independent site of 17 units to meet Welsh Housing Quality standards, RNIB compliance, Occupational Therapist reports and owner recommendations.
The following was published by the Federation of Master Builders: The completed scheme was finished to the very highest of standards and has enabled the residents, who are mainly elderly and less abled, to enjoy much improved quality of life within the new facilities. The team at Property Building Maintenance (Wales) Ltd have stated that enhancing the lives of the residents and knowing they have made a real difference made the project hugely rewarding to them as a company. The judges were particularly impressed by the fact that this project was delivered ahead of schedule, under budget, and carried out whilst the residents remained in the building.
Ifan Glyn, Director of FMB Cymru, said: “The Master Builder Awards give the FMB the opportunity to celebrate a job well done and for clients to say thank you to their builders. For the construction industry, it is an opportunity to celebrate all that is good about small local building firms and their contribution to the UK economy.
“Time and time again, we have been impressed with just how far these builders will go to ensure their client is happy. It is this dedication that we want to celebrate. Property Building Maintenance (Wales) Ltd should feel justly proud of their achievement in winning and we wish the firm every success in the national competition.”
